Derbyshire's Best Kept Secret

Renishaw Hall, located just outside of Sheffield, not only boasts beautiful architecture and grounds, but is also home to The Sitwell Museum. A collection which tells the story of the Sitwell family from ita beginnings in the 1500s, when the house was built, to the present day. Showing the origins of the family, their background, as well as their connections with some of the best known theatrical, artistic, and literary characters in Britain, including Constance Lambert, Cecil Beaton, William Walton, T.S. Eliot, and the Mitford Sisters. It provides a great resource for anyone interested in the theatrical and artistic communities of the 1920s and 30s.
